Pregnancy, High Profile Breast Implants. Avoiding Mastopexy

Gain and loss of more than 20 lbs. of weight during pregnancy can change the shape of the breast by increasing the amount of skin present, and causing loss of breast volume, thus resulting in your flatter, lower, less attractive breast.

High profile breast implants, silicone or saline placed thru the armpit or nipple areolar can improve this condition by increasing projection of the breast and thereby avoiding a breast lift i.e. mastopexy. This decreasing the need for skin excision in a breast lift.

When the breast droops it is called ptosis. If the nipple areolar is above your breast crease, and the breast is still droopy this is called glandular ptosis, which is a condition solved by high profile implants.
